REDEMPTION 2
16 SO DON'T BE DISMAYED WHEN THE WICKED GROW RICH AND THEIR HOMES BECOME EVER MORE SPLENDID.
17 For when they die, they take nothing with them. Their wealth will not follow them into the grave.
18 In this life they consider themselves fortunate and are applauded for their success.
19 BUT THEY WILL DIE LIKE ALL BEFORE THEM AND NEVER AGAIN SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY.
20 PEOPLE WHO BOAST OF THEIR WEALTH DON'T UNDERSTAND; THEY WILL DIE, JUST LIKE ANIMALS."
Psalm 49:16–20 (NLT)
• Likewise, there are people who presented themselves as Christ, but they are false Christ;
23 THEN IF ANYONE SAYS TO YOU, 'LOOK, HERE IS THE CHRIST!' OR 'THERE!' DO NOT BELIEVE IT. 24 FOR FALSE CHRISTS AND FALSE PROPHETS WILL RISE AND SHOW GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS TO DECEIVE, IF POSSIBLE, EVEN THE ELECT. 25 SEE, I HAVE TOLD YOU BEFOREHAND. 26 THEREFORE IF THEY SAY TO YOU, 'LOOK, HE IS IN THE DESERT!' DO NOT GO OUT; OR 'LOOK, HE IS IN THE INNER ROOMS!' DO NOT BELIEVE IT" (Matthew 24:23-26 NKJV).
- I heard of someone in the east Africa, and another one somewhere, who recently proclaimed that they are the Christ Jesus that the believers are expecting. The Bible has said such things would happen, so It is not new.
- The point we are making is, there is no one else who can pay the Ransom for the redemption of man's soul or life, except Jesus Christ. Others who had come before Him, and those who are just coming out now as the Christ or Messiah, they are thieves and robbers:
"ALL WHO EVER CAME BEFORE ME [including those who are coming out now, proclaiming and declaring themselves as Christ, the Messiah] ARE THIEVES AND ROBBERS, BUT THE SHEEP DID [should] NOT HEAR THEM. 10 THE THIEF DOES NOT COME EXCEPT TO STEAL, AND TO KILL, AND TO DESTROY . . . " (John 10:8,10 NKJV). - The True or genuine sheep of Christ Jesus would not follow any false Christ (John 10:1,5).
10 ACCORDING TO THE GRACE OF GOD WHICH WAS GIVEN TO ME, AS A WISE MASTER BUILDER I [Paul] HAVE LAID THE FOUNDATION, AND ANOTHER BUILDS ON IT. BUT LET EACH ONE TAKE HEED HOW HE BUILDS ON IT.
11 FOR NO OTHER FOUNDATION CAN ANYONE LAY THAN THAT WHICH IS LAID, WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST."
1 Corinthians 3:10,11 (NKJV)
8 BUT EVEN IF WE, OR AN ANGEL FROM HEAVEN, PREACH ANY OTHER GOSPEL TO YOU THAN WHAT WE HAVE PREACHED TO YOU, LET HIM [such a person] BE ACCURSED.
9 AS WE HAVE SAID BEFORE, SO NOW I SAY AGAIN, IF ANYONE PREACHES ANY OTHER GOSPEL TO YOU THAN WHAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED, LET HIM BE ACCURSED."
Galatians 1:8,9 (NKJV)
• The psalmist in our text says: So don’t be dismayed when the wicked grow rich and their homes become ever more splendid (Psalm 49:16).
- The person being referred to as the wicked in the passage is someone who has no relationship with God through Jesus Christ. That is, someone who is not born-again (John 3:3-7).
- When the Bible talks about the wicked, some people think it is referring to the person who committed a terrible Sin. Whoever is sinning, yet to be reconciled with God through Jesus Christ, or yet to be born-again, is a wicked person in the sight of God.
- Whatever you might have done in the past, regardless how you acquired your wealth, If you can come to God through Jesus Christ, you would be snatched from the power of death: "BUT AS FOR ME, GOD WILL REDEEM MY LIFE. HE WILL SNATCH ME FROM THE POWER OF THE GRAVE" (Psalm 49:15 NLT).
- Redemption of man's soul or life is more than money. There is no eternal hope for whoever does not establish a relationship with God through Christ Jesus—someone whose name is not found in the Book of Life (Revelation 20:15; 21,27).
- If anyone died in a state of sin, such has no hope, destruction is certain. And whatever they had used their lifetime to acquire would be meaningless: "FOR WHEN THEY DIE, THEY TAKE NOTHING WITH THEM. THEIR WEALTH WILL NOT FOLLOW THEM INTO THE GRAVE" (Psalm 49:17 NLT).
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Whatever is contrary to your health is rebuked and uprooted totally in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- The Hold is broken and you will never be bound again in Jesus' name.
Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
- If you took the steps As highlighted above, congratulations, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
