Morning

I overslept today and woke up at around 11.30am. After getting freshened up I had my breakfast which was roti and sabji with a cup of tea.

Having breakfast

There was some work in the market I had to pickup some orders from a tailor shop so I called and confirmed about the order. It was ready to be picked. So I along with my sister and mother decided to get them. We got ready and went market.

Afternoon

We reached there at around 2pm. First we went to a shoe store to buy footwear for us. After searching in a few shops finally got one of our choice.

We finalised three for us. Next we moved to a jewellery store. My mother selected some neckpiece, bangles, bindi, for herself. Next we went to the tailor shop and picked up the orders. We also had golgappa from a nearby stall.

Then took a rickshaw and returned home.

Evening

It was dawn when we were on our way to home. In this chhath puja devotees offer arghya to the sun.

Glimpse of the festival

It is offered to the setting sun standing in a river or pond whatever possible.The devotees observe fast for 36 hours in this festival. After returning home we put the bags inside and again went to the ghat situated near to my home. It was very beautifully decorated with lights and many stalls of icecream and fast food were there. We stopped there for about 1 hour clicked some pictures. On returning we ate chaat and icecream. At night I had roti and bhujiya as dinner. Then I did some packing as I have my train to lucknow at 3am.

So that was all about today. Tomorrow I will be at my work place. Trip to home ends here.
