Don't Just post, Comment and engage other people's post. // #club5050
Hello famz...trust you're all keeping well. Well I think it expedient I make this post. It high time we approached this platform the right way as many of us have not been doing too well when it comes to engagement.
Some of us don't understand what it feels like to create a content ,devoting quality time and resources to come up with a quality content...putting it out there and then get no appreciable commendation for that effort.
I think the problem first is our inability to recognize the fact that this is a social media platform although built on a blockchain. Some of us have gotten too self centered that we only care about our post and not interested in what others are doing, if we all act or continue this way,it means we will all end up as strangers in a community we want to build as family .We are to make good use of this platform by engaging,voting and commenting meaningfully on people's post as it encourages the author and helps him to do more,he now knows that someone out there reads what he devotes his/her time to create.

- This is beautiful
- Very interesting.
- Thank you etc.
These above mentioned comments and many more are not good enough as comment, short comments are turn off for author. It only shows you didn't read the post in the first place because this comment are somehow generic and can blend with almost all write up.
Do well to add a statement or two to your "Nice post" on people's post.
No comment
This is a very wrong practice. When you come across people post try to leave a comment of at least a line highlighting something if you can from what you read from the post. You also do well to reply to people's comment as well. Let's make it an habit to comment and vote on at least 5 people's post daily in the community. You could even decide to top the table on the daily active users report.
How to Make quality comment
Making comment isn't really as hard as you think it is,you just have to be intentional about it. As much as you want to drop a very quality comment,also try as much as possible to make comment that can initiate conversation especially with those you would like to really be friends with or hoping to really get along with. Let check few examples of good comments below.

These comment are just example,you ain't limited to them,you just have to be creative about it based on whatever content you read.Also do well to mention the author so that he can get a notification. We will be on the look out for those who are here to bond and not just for the upvote which should be a plus..
Conclusion
Making quality comments is not difficult,the challenge is that some of us don't really care about others,we only focuse on ourself and what the commuinty offers which is not good enough. Apart from the upvotes ,there are priceless rewards like quality relationship with people this is priceless. Some have met people on the chain that gave them lifetime opportunities they will forever be grateful for.

Exactly what I have been observing for a while now and trying my best to rectify in my own little way.
There have been lot of amazing post on this community with little or no engagement at all in form of comments and replies,I personally feel this is a bad practice and we should desist from it.
We should always make sure to atlest leave a comment under any post we come across if not for anything but just to encourage the author.
Everyone in the community is just obsessed with making post all the time like robot which shouldn't be so.
One thing that have also caught my attention is spam comments,you see comment like "nice post" everytime, repeatedly on practically every post on this community.
I'm glad you made a post concerning this issue @lhorgic and hopefully we are expecting to see changes🤗

I think part of the problem is the time of the year or the decline in the price of Steem.
