My view development sites of BPL and Franchise team

in Cric-World 🏏2 years ago

Probably Chittagong Challengers are doing the best job on social site in this year's BPL. Promotional videos, Inside training, Breakfast with player/coach, Creative content on their page seemed quite promising to me.
BPL has never been able to develop as a professional league in Bangladesh. Ha-ya-ba-ra-l status is seen in the change of team every year. As cricket fans, sometimes we also have a special need for franchise teams.

Every IPL/PSL franchise has an academy where they work with talent all year, with some players chosen from the auction. This practice does not exist in Bangladesh. For Comilla Victorians, who promoted Mehedi Hasan from their academy for the first time, it was good.
Apart from this, Chittagong Challengers have taken charge of a fast bowler. He has come in contact with Shaun Tait. It is a big plus point.

If franchisees are given long-term contracts, they will be able to get some profit from other sources. The main one could be a business policy, a merchandise cell. In foreign countries, franchisees make a lot of money by selling merchandise. It is never seen in Bangladesh, we don't even get the official jersey. However, the Chittagong Challengers are running a small campaign to sell their merchandise on their page. If the contracts of the teams in the BPL were for a long time, their source of income would increase. Through the Talent Hunt program, each team, with the exception of their own, can attend to some players at their academy.BCB doesn't have to do that.
This time, old franchises like Comilla or Chittagong are trying to look ahead, albeit on a small scale. If all the franchisees are given long-term contracts with a long-term plan in the coming years, these should be further increased. We don't want new franchises or new names every year.
a small amount of risk, foresight, and a moderate investment through these, it is possible to get something good from BPL. Unfortunately, our BCB never understood that.

Sort:

It would be really good to give it as a long term. Big corporates have wanted it before. However, there are some goblins of the BPL governing body who think that if they leave like this, their control over the BPL will probably decrease. This thinking of the goblins will not change suddenly, so our hopes will not be implemented quickly.

I do not think that BCB does not understand. I think they understand, but do not want improvement.
