Team India delivered a commanding performance in the 3rd T20I at HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala on December 14, 2025, beating South Africa by 7 wickets to go 2-1 up in the five-match series. The bowlers strangled the Proteas before a quick chase sealed it. Here's how it unfolded!
Bowlers Strangle South Africa
SKY won the toss and bowled first, perfect decision! Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana wrecked the powerplay with three early wickets. Harshit dismissed Quinton de Kock and Dewald Brevis (finishing 2-34), while Arshdeep trapped Reeza Hendricks early and got captain Aiden Markram later.
Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube grabbed one each, but Varun Chakravarthy was magic with 2-11 – the spell of the match! Kuldeep Yadav took two in the final over.
SA were bowled out for 117. Markram fought alone with 61 off 46, while Donovan Ferreira's 20 was the next best.
Abhishek Explodes, Tilak Anchors the Chase
Abhishek Sharma started with a massive six off Lungi Ngidi, blasting 35 off 18 in a 60-run stand with Shubman Gill (28 – finally some form!) in just five overs.
Abhishek fell to Corbin Bosch, Marco Jansen cleaned up Gill, and Ngidi trapped SKY. But Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube stayed calm, knocking off the runs with 7 wickets and 25 balls left. Easy win!
