7 May - Radio Day😁😁

It so happened historically that in my country May 7 is Radio and Communication Day. My father chose this profession—he repaired radio equipment. By the end of the last century, when tube TVs were replaced by solid-state ones with switching power supplies, it became harder for him. I never really got into radio engineering myself, even though I still have a bunch of old books. Of course, they’re very outdated—no mention of microchips.

At school I got interested not in radio, but in computers, and later in mathematics.

I keep postponing attempts to really dive into electronics… postponing to when? Life goes on.

So now I want to slowly start learning and share posts in this community. Since there aren’t many people here, maybe I’ll also write about computer topics—no need to create a separate group for every niche of science.

Two years ago I posted something, a year ago I probably missed it.

Recently I wrote about ZX and about an Emulator–Murmulator

Buying retro PCs is expensive, more like paying tribute to an old friend. But with a Raspberry Pi—even a Zero—I want to try. I don’t know if mine turned out defective, but I couldn’t flash it.

Maybe I’ll try again from another computer in the coming days.

Of course, an emulator is not always 100% the same, sometimes it doesn’t emulate everything—but it’s still fun to play with.

Так склалося історично що в моїй країні 7 травня - День радіо та зв'язку. Такий фах обрав собі мій батько, ремонтував радіотехніку. А в кінці минулого століття коли у нас вже на зміну ламповим телевізорам прийшли вже безлампові, з імпульсними джерелами живлення... йому вже було тяжко. Я в радіотехніку не дуже вникав, хоч зараз є купа старих книг)) звісно вони сильно застаріли. Мікросхеми там не згадуються... Я ж в школі зацікавився не радіо, а комп'ютерами, а потім і математикою))

Спроби ж розібратися таки з електронікою залишаю на потім...хех, на коли на потім...життя то йде.

То ж і хочу потроху розбиратися, і публікувати у цю спільноту. Коли в спільноті мало людей то можливо й на комп'ютерну тематику теж сюди писати, не створювати ж окрему тему/спільноту на кожну нішу науки.

З електроніки нещодавно писав про ZX та Емулятор - мурмулятор

Ретро ПК купувати дорого, лиш як данина старому другу, а от на RaspberryPi хоч і Zero все таки спробую. Не знаю чи бракований виявився, але я не зміг його прошити((

Може спробую з іншого компа на днях

Звісно що емулятор не завжди на 100% аналогічний, інколи не все емулює - але побавитися саме те.
