Wow, a difficult door to cross, because I have many songs that I could present and it is difficult for me to decide.

But I do it for "Loosing my Religion" by the group R.E.M, if I remember correctly at the beginning of the 90s, I would have been 23 or 24 years old.

This song marked a before and after in my relationship with life, religiosity and my place in the world. Somehow the structure of the video plus melody and lyrics (at that time my English was very basic) allowed me to assert myself and say "no" to the imposed norms and rules of some religious visions.
It allowed me to stand in front of God and tell him that way, I don't want a relationship with you, there has to be another that allows us to be happy by your side and not live off of punishment and guilt.

Anyway, I write these lines and relive the feeling that repeating the song gave me, singing it and inventing words in it. Nostalgy, some sadness but tranquility.

Ahhh.. I forgot now God and I are very good friends.
