Three Month Mark
Yesterday was the three month mark in our new home. I would be lying if I said it was all rainbows and butterflies. We have definitely had our share of problems that come from owning your own house but I still can look around in awe and just smile from ear to ear knowing this belongs to us.
My husband and I have lived in three homes during our fifteen years of marriage. We always joke that we get the "seven year itch" when it comes to living somewhere. We have lived in or near the area I grew up for the first part of our marriage and now we get to live in his hometown.
It's so odd to live so close to your hometown, about thirty minutes, yet feel so far away. There is something truly magical about the sky here. I always wake up to beautiful sunrises and end my day with breathtaking sunsets.
It is autumn now and it's my favorite time of the year and my favorite season. I was afraid the tree in our yard was going to lose it's leaves before it changed color but I was pleasantly surprised. This has been a major adjustment and I miss my family something fierce but I'm so excited for our future here and I can't wait to see what memories we make here.
