Hi!! Happy New Year! Thanks for the sweet wishes! We got MOST of the stuff done while we lived on the hill, the property next door to this. We have a lot of detail work left to do, but all the biggies, like septic, well and power are done. The well has been here for years, it was the first thing we did. Everyone tells us we did it backwards because we had to run extra septic line due to the placement of the well, but... We wanted to get self reliant ASAP and we had an RV that we drove up to the dump station in town for years, getting our water supply secured was a higher priority to us.
I keep telling myself I need to get back on here more, get back into writing daily... I have a really hard time giving data to the google mind any more. Knowing how closely they monitor it all, and even if it were ONLY for marketing it would bother me, but knowing what they will do with that data... I just hate it. I miss the humans, the lovely connections with people like you, but the only "right to privacy" we really have is gauged by how silent we can be... isn't that sad? I foresee self-censorship becoming the norm, no one will speak the truth any more because the consequences will be swift and severe. Look at China...
That was a little depressing... sorry! Honestly we are doing well, having a rather mild winter so far - yay! I hope you had a joyous holiday season and that 2019 brings you blessings in abundance!
