Muffler Repair
Yesterday I had to do a little generator repair. Not long ago two of the brackets broke off the muffler holding the muffler heat shroud, leaving two holes in the muffler so my generator was not running right because it was losing manifold pressure. Instead of buying a new muffler I chose to repair it.
For the repair I purchased a can of Muffler Weld from the auto store.
I cleaned the area well with a wire brush, sandpaper, and a damp cloth.
Next I applied a liberal amount of Muffler Weld to the holes.
The whole repair took me about 15 minutes, but the recommended drying time is 24 hours before I can start the generator.
Have a great day! Every comment is up-voted to show our appreciation and thanks for your up-vote, Tim and Joann.
Great fix! :D
ALWAYS better to fix it yourself if possible!
