As those of you who are following us know, we currently live in a small cabin. The cabins purpose was always just to get us out of the city and into the woods so that I could build our Stone House.
AND SO IT BEGINS...
....so I haven't actually started building the stone house, but as you can see in the picture above by the trees on the ground, clearing for where the Stone House will go has began. So far I've knocked down about 12 trees and have about 20 left to go. Some of them are very big four or five feet through the center, so it is a slow, and also dangerous job.
Below you can watch a video of me as I fell one of the mid-sized trees that I had to cut.
As you may have been able to tell from the video, the trees are very large and have a huge potential to cause damage or physical harm, so I have to use extreme care while I'm doing this job.
This post is mainly serving as just a marker for when the clearing for the Stone House began. And of course I will continue my updates as we progress on all the different fronts that we are expanding out at the homestead.
