RE: I have decided to donate my steem to a few friends

Ya, you've got to create an account on ionomy.

Once you do that, you can see all your deposits/wallets. From there, go down to STEEM, and you'll see a little QR image. Click on that and it will give you the memo.

Then, back on Steem you send from your wallet to @ionomy, with that memo. A minute or so later it will show up on ionomy. Then, you can sell the steem (for BTC) on the 'markets' section, and either buy hive, some other crypto, or simply withdraw the BTC to your wallet.

What, that's not simple? 😜

wow that was totally easy!!! thank you1!!

by the way - after I made an account on ionomy and transferred all my steem and sbd, ionomy has lost my account - their support team is working on it right now but as of today, my email address and account are showing up as belonging to some Italian dude and i can't log in to my wallet

WTF?! That's crazy.

I guess we'll find out if their customer service is any good or not. Keep me updated please :-)

I will - so far they STILL have me mixed up with the other guy, it's been about 4 days i think.

Today I was able to login on my phone - but still not on my computer so I tried a different browser - and I still can't.

@kennyskitchen - it finally got fixed! I would say their customer service sucks - it's just one guy - Colin and he does not communicate much. Now - please tell a total newb step by step, HOW do you sell the sbd and steem for btc? I have NO clue. Thanks.
