Reishi Tincture - Start to Finish
Back in June we were lucky to find some Reishi mushrooms while out for a hike in a nearby Hemlock forest, and we knew exactly what to do with them.
First we cut them into slices, then into the dehydrator until completely dried. We then placed them into jars and vacuum sealed them. Well, not all of them. We placed some of them into a separate container and covered them with Vodka to begin the alcohol extraction. We'll place a link in the description so you can see the entire process.
Today with the alcohol portion complete, we'll move on to the water extraction and show you how we complete the dual extraction.
First we strain the alcohol through a sheet. Next, we wring out the mushrooms as they are quite absorbent.
We then place the Reishi into a crock pot, fill it with water and allow it to simmer overnight. The next morning after allowing the Reishi tea to cool, we strain the water from the crock pot through a sheet.
We started with 1.75 liters of vodka and recovered 1.4 liters. In order to keep the alcohol content high enough to prevent any unwanted contamination we mix the Alcohol and Water extraction at a 60/40 ratio.
We now have 2 quarts of dual extracted Reishi which should last us for quite some time. We also completed a dual extraction of Chaga this week providing us with 1 quart of the tincture known as the "Elixir of Life" as it is loaded with Phyto-Sterols, Betulinic acid, Poly-Phenols and Beta-Glucans.
We put some labels on the lids, store them in a dark place and use daily.
We encourage you to do some research and discover some of the health and immune system benefits you might reap by including a dropper full of ancient medicines like Chaga and Reishi into your morning tea.
Here is a LINK to the video showing how we started the entire process.
Looks so simple to do? You've now taught me something new once more. Much appreciated brother! Love this kind o' thing.
Our pleasure and as always, thanks for stopping by!
Friend brimax how are you? Even if you did not publish a few days, you were not absent since I received your support in the same way.
The reishi mushroom, acclaimed in ancient oriental medicine as the fungus of immortality and medicine of kings, is recognized for stimulating the immune system, fighting cancer, preventing heart disease, soothing nerves and relieving allergies and inflammation, it is known for its antioxidant properties and for helping to fight the symptoms of old age, it tones the liver and protects the body from physical stress. Antioxidants fight the oxidation process that causes cells to die.
Like this Candy And Anis, give her regards from me
I've said hello to Anise and Candy for you. Glad to see you know about the reishi mushroom!
That's great information! After a little research I was happy to read that they grow in my area as well. Now I shall have to go mushroom hunting!
As a child we used to hunt for morels every year without fail and it is one of my fondest memories. They don't grow here so I haven't been mushrooming in a long, long time. I need to get out more!!
Good luck, we hope you find some. Your best bet will be to find a Hemlock forest and search the dead trees!
Saludos amigo @brimax de verdad no sabia los multiples beneficios que podemos obtener de esos hongos el "Elixir de la vida."Muy bueno el video y gracias por aportarnos tantos buenos consejos
My pleasure, thanks for all your support!
@brimax here you are several weeks ago that you were active I asked for you and I said that maybe there was a lot of work on the farm
Candy how are you? I've missed her I hope to see her soon in your videos
Friend on the mushrooms I just researched on the internet about Chaga and Reishi and the truth I never imagined that you could use some fungus for alternative medicine maybe it is the country here mushrooms are not so frequent, if they are seen but not frequently
It is interesting to know that for example the chaga was used or even used for stomach treatments such as gastritis and even cancer
They are both amazing medicines!
Brother, how are you? I already needed your publications where you learn a lot, it is amazing the process that requires the mushrooms, this is new for me, I am very grateful to you despite everything I always receive your support.

Greetings to Candy and @anise
We have been busy and that is why we haven't been here much. We'll get back in the saddle soon!
Good and useful process, I see the process is not difficult and easy to do. Thank you for sharing @brimax
You're very welcome!
Hello Friend how are you? a little distant but always to the slope, how is winter? According to what I could find out about the Reishi mushroom, the consumption of reishi promotes blood circulation, even at the cerebral level, which is helpful in cases of cognitive diseases. It also regulates the metabolism and digestive system, fights fatigue, increases alertness, helps to sleep and rest better. It is a very extensive and complements your publication and the way you prepare it helps me understand more of the benefits of the Reishi mushroom, you are lucky to find it and prepare this fascinating serum of youth, it is also very good to relax and leave the day-to-day stress, I liked the video and see how you pack it in the jars, I really like the glass containers. Excellent publication and gives to investigate much more about this fungus, how is this Candy? and @anise? I hope that everyone on the farm say hello to you @brimax
Really glad you like this one. Anise and Candy are fine, thanks so much!
