I am glad our snow has never gotten that high around the house. On the north side it can get 3.5' deep, but that doesn't reach the bottom of the window.... On the north side of the barn, there's sometimes still snow banks almost to June...
We do have years of a lot of snow. I remember one year a couple decades ago, when we ran out of room to push the snow and had to hire a front end loader to come in and move it back farther... But even then it never came up to the windows, just massive snow banks.
yeah, this is a bit much, it's the most we've ever had piled up against the house. This is the hardest winter we've had since moving here. Very cold and a lot of storms and high winds. Usually, I don't mind but this week I am struggling. I need to get outside and absorb some sun nourishment, I dislike being stuck inside for too long.
In some ways it seems like our climates have a lot of similarieties!
Sitting in the ER, yet again, last night, I noticed how pale my hands are. Not been outside much at all this winter, and the deep brown of October has completely faded. Been too sick to notice how little I'd been out...
