It is literally making me salivate even thinking about pickled walnuts! It's a really flavoursome delicacy.
Here's some photos from when me and my mum made them. These were from our walnut tree in the garden in our then home in the south of France.

Did you pickle them in the husk?
There is no link! Yes - they're in the husk! You pick them when they are young, the pickled husk is edible and delicious after being pickled.
