March 2019 and New goals and plans on the homestead.
Spring is finally springing around the corner which means a busy time here on the homestead. My bee hives are growing and I'll be harvesting some spring honey soon. Time to get the gardens going again, and clear some room for chickens and such this year.
I'm going to focus more on self-sustainability this year as we face uncertain times. I'm still pretty tied into politics because as much as one may want to hide their head in the sand, you simply can't and expect to prepare for what's to come. Unfortunately, politics affects all our lives in one way or another.
Will be learning to can this year to add to my food stores. I already have freeze-dried foods stashed and plan to add to those. Want to build a smokehouse and an outdoor kitchen type area. So yup, lots of plans and lots of musings here on my blog as we go along.
Just one of my beehives below, as you can see it's just full of bees.

Hi and welcome back I guess. ;D I see you started your account here quite some time ago, so it's good to see you posting again. There is quite the thriving homesteading community on here now. I'm just writing up the newsletter for @homesteaderscoop and I'll give you a mention as a newcomer, although you aren't literally new, but you are figuratively, I guess.
@altlife has lists of homesteaders and preppers and other alternative lifestyle information. There is the @ghscollective and @naturalmedicine.
Anyway, I'll drop a link in to you once I've published this week's newsletter and that will have some more info too.
