FINALLY - SOME OF OUR POULTRY MOVES TO THE LAND!

in #homesteading6 years ago

It's happening!

Although we've had our chickens, ducks, Guinea fowl, and quail for some time now, they, like us, have all been staying near our land and haven't actually been on our property. As we set up the mobile home and prepare to move ourselves to the property, we are also preparing to move all of our animals.

Today, the first of our birds moved down to the land, the three male Muscovy Ducks. Soon, others will follow. We can't wait to all be there together!

WELCOME TO THE WORLD MY NEW LITTLE FRIEND!

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

I would like to raise ducks but my subdivision doesn't allow birds in the property.

You can enjoy mine for now! Hope it helps. If we get some little ones hatching, I'll be sure to post.

A lot of people run into issues like that. Part of why we moved.

Poultry in the PEN, Good Job @Papa-Pepper

Moving forward! It's progress!

Que lindas fotos.

Woohoo! One step closer to having a homestead all set up and running. It's really exciting watching you guys getting the place in shape - I notice the new pen is nice and so is the duck house you built.

Thank you. I have no real experience in building, so to have such a solid structure made by just me and my 5 year old is really encouraging.

Heh, we have no building experience either. I have a builder's license but I've never actually built anything from scratch. Getting those first structures accomplished is a real milestone and a confidence builder for tackling bigger projects.

Welcome to the homestead Muskavoy Ducks!! And, those babies are super sweet & cute. Your farm is looking great @papa-pepper! It's all coming together. 💚💙💜 lots of work! Here's to hoping it all goes smoothly🙏🕊🌳🌲🐦🌅

It is! It's been a long road to get this far, but we've got even further to go. Thanks for the encouragement!

You've got this!! ✌😇
