NEEM

Neem plant popularly called Nimba in part of some country meaning GOOD HEALTH, also in Nigeria it is called DONGOYARO in some part of the country and scientifically, it is call "asadirachta indica." It's also scientifically classified into:

  1. Kingdom: Plantae
  2. Clade: Angiosperms
  3. Clade: Eudicots
  4. Clade: Rosids
  5. Order: Sapindales
  6. Family: Meliaceae
  7. Genus: Azadirachta
  8. Species: A. Indica

In some places in the world, this tree is called "SARVA ROGA NIVARNI" which mean something that cure all ailments of ills.
This tree is also called so many names according to several perspective of the users. Some of the names giving to the tree include 'village pharmacy, live giving tree, nature drug, divine tree' etc...
All these names mentioned are giving to the tree based on different perspective and how the tree work for those users. Neem tree is a symbol of health, safe from bugs and biting insect because of repellent action.
The leaves of been tree can be use in bathing, which helps the skin supple and healthy, helps in controlling pimples and acne when it's antiseptic properties are extracted. Neem tree has many purpose aside been a drug, it's seeds, leafs and back can be converted into fertilizer and also materials for controlling of pest.
Neem tree is purely medicinal and can cure a thousand and above health problems such as scratches, rashes, malaria, and even diabetes.
Neem can also be use by dentist for any such dental issues such as periodanta, and dentalcaris or it's relatives. The neem tree as a whole is contained antibacterial, anti fungal, antihistamine and has other antiseptic properties. Neem tree exceed other elisir ills such as aleovera, tea tree, ginseng, ginkgo biloba and so on....
Neem fruits and seeds are the sturce of neem oil; which mean neem has oil if it's redefined, and such oil is highly medicinal.
This tree (neem) grow faster and it can reach a hight of up to 15-20mitres (49-66ft). Neem is roundish. Neem relatives looks all alike...
In some part of the African countries, neem is usually planted at the front of the building which serves as a protector to the building against wind and also for beautification. Also children loves to stay under the shield of neem as a location to play and even the elders when it comes to the time of traditional games such as "ayo olopon' usually played in Yoruba land within the elders....

PREPARATION
Both the leaves, part of the stems, back, and even the root are combined together base on the quantity required. Little wash on done on the contents to avoid Some particles on it thou the washing is done minimally to avoid been washing away of the Content of the herb. The prepared contents should be boiled for 30-40minutes, and afterwards which come to drinking on cold.

Great info. Love to read information on about anything herbal and natural. We use Neem Oil in the garden to fend off unwanted pests. Its a safe and natural bug deterrent too. Love how so many plants have so many different potential uses.
