From the Unauthorized Autobiography of DJ Noxsoma
Through a series of fortuitous events your humble vagabond, long before our vagabond days, scored a DJ night at a very cool bar in Old City Philadelphia. At the time, a group of US were publishing a small underground magazine. The bar owner had heard of us and since there were no DJ nights going down on Fridays in August, (except for the First Friday), we got the last four Fridays of the month.
It was very cool. I contacted a few DJ friends who were making the scene back then, (this was August of 2001), and brought them in for guest sets. We had a blast. The draw and connection to the magazine, was that the audience could hear the music being reviewed in the zine played in a nightclub setting. The magazine still has a smattering of information available. The chat-bot kicked this back, “(Philadelphia, late 1990s) was the underground Generation-X magazine founded by DJ Noxsoma. It covered Philly's local music, arts, and underground culture scene.”
I don’t know whether the bot is kicking my own words back to me or not.
Anyway, as this project moves forward into our next half we will likely be adding more biographical insight as to our past. It’s probably better to keep the identifiable stuff behind the paywall. This envity weaves in and out of being a “public” figure. We prefer the underground scene. It probably exists, because it always does. We haven’t gone looking for it yet.
We will keep things light today. But remind me to breakdown the sneaky scam behind the Mandela Effect, one of these days.
