The Whispering Floor

In the middle of a forest there was this old abandoned school called Blackwood Academy. The people who lived in the village would not even look at it after the sun went down.

They would say that the fourth floor of Blackwood Academy made noises at night.. If you heard these noises you would never be the same again.

For a time the school was empty. Then one day five friends from college decided to go and make a video to put on the internet.

There was Kabir, who was not afraid of anything and was the leader of the group.

Riya was with them she believed in ghosts. Did not tell anyone.

Aman was also there he was always making jokes to hide how scared he was.

Neha had a camera to record everything.

And there was Sameer he was very quiet. Had found out a lot about the dark things that happened at the school.

Sameer told his friends that many students disappeared from the school in 1987. He said that only the principal survived.

Aman. Said it was a great place to make a video.

The big doors of the school opened by themselves which was really weird.

Inside the school there was a lot of dust in the air. The desks were broken and old report cards were still on the walls.

Then Neha saw something there were footprints on the floor and they looked new.

But the school had been empty for a long time so it did not make sense.

Kabir said that maybe some people without homes were living there.

So the friends stayed close to each other.

As they went up the stairs their flashlights were not working properly.

They looked at the floor but there was nothing.

The second floor was also empty and quiet.

On the floor they heard a child laughing but it was very faint.

Riya got scared. Stopped moving.

She asked if the others had heard the laugh.

Before they could answer a door slammed shut behind them.

Aman tried to open it. It would not move.

Then they heard a soft voice whispering beside them saying "leave".

The friends got really scared. Ran up to the fourth floor.

The air on this floor felt cold and heavy.

The hallway was very long. Had strange scratches on the walls.

Neha pointed her camera down the hallway. Gasped.

At the end of the hallway there was a boy in an old school uniform.

His head was tilted in a way and his face was hidden in the dark.

Riya whispered to Kabir that the boy was not there before.

Kabir tried to be brave. Asked who was there.

The boy slowly raised his finger. Pointed behind them.

When the friends turned around they saw that the staircase was gone.

There was a wall where the stairs used to be.

Aman started crying. Said that this was not real.

Then the lights in the hallway turned on all once.

The old speakers in the classrooms started working

A voice came from the speakers saying that it was time to take attendance.

The voice called out their names one by one.

When a name was called a whisper would say "present" even though the friends had not spoken.

Nehas camera showed something scary. Behind each of them there were shadowy figures of children.

They were just standing there watching.

Then the voice called out Sameers name.

Sameers face turned white. He whispered that his grandfather used to be the principal of the school.

The lights in the hallway started turning off one by one.

The little ghost boy stepped forward. Said that Sameer had left them behind.

Sameer. The shadowy figures moved towards him.

Kabir grabbed Riya. They ran through the darkness with Aman and Neha following.

They could hear Sameer screaming behind them.

Then they ran out of the school into the rain.

They were alive. Really scared.

When they looked back at the school they saw that the windows, on the floor were glowing.

There was Sameer, standing in the window and smiling in a weird way.

His eyes were completely black. He was staring directly at them.

The morning the police went to the school to search for the friends.

But they did not find a floor. The school only had three stories.

When they found Nehas broken camera it had one last recording.

The recording showed the five friends going into the school. Only four shadows coming out.
