If you are a woman, how many times you heard that on a job interview you should be dressed decently and no defiance will not be tolerated? According to a recent study by Sevag Kertechiana from the University of Paris Sorbonne, has proven the opposite. Some women must be terrified of the results(me too).

Dr. Kertechianas research was aimed on how clothing style affects employability. He found that a deeper neck in a photo biography puts them in a much higher percentage of getting an interview. His work was presented during the conference named Appearance Matters (look matters) held in London.

According to the website ,where the results of the study was published results of the study, women with a lower "cut" had a 19 times higher chance to by an apply for a job in business or accounting.

The research lasted more than three years. Kertechian browse the ads, that offering jobs in the mentioned sectors and then she submitted 2 CVs of 2 different women. Both of them had similar facial features and the same experience and practice.

She sent out overall 200 copies of the CVs, but she experimented with different clothes on the pictures. One half of the CVs contained a woman dressed in a conservative style, the another was wearing more provocative clothes.

The results

In the business sector, the woman with more the provocative dress, was offered 62 more options for an interview, then for the woman with the conservative dress. 

In the accounting world, it amounted to about 68 more job interview. This was the first survey, that focused on this issue.
