A lot of people seem to be using Supload in an attempt to earn some bitcoin with their hosted images. I've been trying it out. You aren't going to get rich but it works ok for hosting images.
I use photobucket to upload my picture and then use the HTML link to post them here. You just need a photo hosting site, any works, there is even one set up just for steemit
One of the things steemit still needs to do is to make this process more transparent. The eSteemit app allows you to simply attach a picture. I automatically hosts it somewhere and handles inserting the correct HTML without any intervention on your party. It's transparent to the user.
Yes, but the point is that with the eSteemit app this is what you are doing. You share the picture directly from your phone and the app takes care of where to host it and how to insert it in your post so you don't have to bother with it. To you it just looks like you are attaching a picture to your post straight from your phone. I don't see why the same couldn't be done with the steemit web site.
You can use Dropbox and get a share link. Other sites offer this too. A few GB of a free account will hold a lot of pictures. I hope that they will integrate this somehow in the future

After you upload your image just paste the https address to your edited post.

It would be easier to share images direct from you PC, having to use hosting sites is a pain in the arse.
