My position is not that I can explain the services of Sir Edhi. But yes, I'll try my best to tell you some of them. A man who spend all his life for welfare of humanity. Let's take a look at some aspects and achievements of his life.

INTRODUCTION:-

Abdul Sattar Edhi was born in Gujarat,India in 1928. Early he moved to karachi,Pakistan. Where he established a small free of cost dispensary for poor and needy resident.

Abdul sattar Edhi collect donation for his mission. In 1957, he buy first mini-ambulance from the donation.

Later, he expanded his charity network with the help of his wife Bilqees Edhi and other people's.

EDHI FOUNDATION :

Edhi Foundation establishing a network of more than 1800 minivan ambulance, which is world largest volunteer ambulance service in world. Edhi Foundation also run free nursing home, orphanages, clinic's , women's shelters, and rehab centres for drug addict. By the time of his death, Edhi was registered as a parent or guardian of almost 20,000 children.

AWARD's OF EDHI:

Abdul sattar Edhi was awarded by many award for his services and welfare for humanity.

In 1986, Abdul sattar Edhi was awarded by Ramon Magsaysay Award for public service.

In 2000, he was awarded by International Balzan Prize for Humanity, Peace and Brotherhood.

In 1989, Government of Pakistan Awarded him by Nishan-e-Imtiaz (National award of Pakistan).

DEATH:

Abdul Sattar Edhi died on 8 July 2016 at the age of 88 due to kidney failure. But they are still alive in our heart's. He was laid at to rest at the Edhi Village Karachi.

I am very, very impressed from his last wish, he request to donate his kidney and eye's. But due to his ill health, only corneas were suitable. Abdul sattar Edhi was great human being and shining example for all of us.
