The ice ridges on Lake Baikal in Russia’s eastern Siberia is probably one of the most amazing and it adds upon the list of one of the natural wonders of the world. It is probably a wonder with residing at least for 20 million years holding one-fifth of the world’s fresh water.
Lake Baikal is the largest freshwater lake in the world (by volume) and the world's deepest lake. Somewhat crescent shaped, it is in the southern Siberia area of Russia. In 1996 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
he Laotian city of Luang Prabang is temptingly close to Kuang Si Falls, a three tier splash spectacular with waters so clear and blue it’ll be hard to resist jumping straight in.
