We all have been there before.

Coming home from work and scrolling through Facebook to see an oddly specific couch ad on the sidebar of Youtube. This oddly specific couch matches your rug, coffee table, and the aesthetic of your living room. To make matters worst, you just moved into your new apartment and was just talking about buying a new couch with your friends. Then, you also realize that you're running out of memory on your laptop; then ads from Best Buy or Nvidia begins popping-up. Everyone has once had an oddly specific banner or advertisement that seems to be following you, but why. This brings up a long controversial, complicated story of Net Neutrality and data privacy. Data privacy is one of the sad sacrifices many internet users are facing in this current IOT(Internet of Things) generation. There have been instances like iRobot, the autonomous Roomba vacuum guys, that has been shamed publicly for selling data to marketers or Google.
BitClave mission is to stop this breach of privacy. From August 2016 - October 2017, there have been 100 different cases of large companies selling data to marketers. The most notable are Equifax. Unlike other companies that sell customers' data, Equifax data contains more valuable information. Information that consists of how many kids you have, your credit score, where you lived, and much more. Equifax made $3.1 billion in revenue in 2016 half of that was made selling data to marketers. While selling data is still illegal for now, likewise to many laws, there are loopholes to get around it. Companies have been exploiting these loopholes for years to gain profit from their valuable customer's information. Journalists have exposed companies like Google. Google has been shunned for "exchanging" data to companies for petite things like source code or algorithms.

You decide to sale your data.

The BitClave team is advocates of data privacy and security. Currently, 30% of American citizens rely on businesses like Equifax, TradesUnion, or Google to properly handle their data. A great portion of that 30% relies on these corporations to handle their valuable information. Without the 30% of American citizens who manages their lives or businesses, online, these corporations would go out of business. As stated before half of Equifax revenue comes from selling their customers data: like their demographics, income, or how many kids he/she has. This has led to the question; if their customer's data is so important, why the customers aren't getting paid for it?

BitClave wants to solve this issue. Their team believes that you have full ownership of your data and should decide what happens to it. BitClave makes it an option for you to keep your information private or ‘sell’ it to businesses. With each ‘sale’ of your data, you get rewarded. BitClave’s decentralized search engine makes it possible for you to search incognito without any greedy software engineer scrounging your data. BitClave takes away the fear of being online and removing any unwanted, creepy oddly specific advertisements from Youtube or Google. With BitClave’s search engine, these targeted ads will come with your 100% consent. BitClave plans on un-criminalizing the internet and bring about a new way of thinking about online privacy.

Escape the Net Neutrality squeeze:

You hear about Net Neutrality in the media 24/7. Net Neutrality could be passed as early as January 2018. This will give corporations like Comcast, known for greedy data tactics, power over the internet. Net Neutrality can affect how fast it will take to load certain websites, kill all internet privacy guidelines, and give power to wireless companies ten-fold. BitClave, respect the choice of data secrecy. BitClave challenges the notion of internet ambiguity that could be forever erased with the passing of Net Neutrality.
