Since we took the vail of this project in June, first announcing it on this platform, steemit, we have started to capture the interest of many people around the world. Our first major step is getting Natalie du Toit, not just a times Olympian and an honorary MBE from the Queen of England, but one of the most amazing, honest and brave people I have met, to join the team, but we have started making a few waves in media and in certain diplomatic circles.

Quite a number of you have bought PODS in August when we gave Steemit a chance to be first, and you have joined our Telegram, twitter and slack feeds, talking with us about this amazing movement. Yes we are from a small country at the bottom of Africa. Many of our fans may not even quite know where it is, never mind visiting. It is exactly because of our history and the many challenges faced throughout Africa, in which we have travelled and worked extensively, that we understood the need for this project.

While all the members of the team have travelled and worked internationally, it is from our history of change in the 80's and 90's that this team was forged. We know that by standing together, and keeping the moral high ground, you can challenge the power of the status quo, and that change can happen. And this is the message we are taking to the world.

From the corruption of FIFA and the world cup, to the plight of les broadly played sports, technology can make a difference and crypto tokens can bring a better distribution of wealth, giving more opportunity to take part in the massive business sport has become.

Watch for some major announcements coming. We are in talks with incredible possible ambassadors in a number of sports. We are building the media hype by talking in various social media sites and blogging on bitcointalk and being featured as a project on the Telegram Group, Coinvision.

Being based we are starting with the local media, and besides a few mentions and some community radio, we were featured on TALK702, a national talk radio show last night, where our CEO, Robert Marshall, was asked about the project and why it is such an important project. The recording will shortly be on our website.

We will be escalating the coverage with international coverage, talking more about how we will set about making the sports world more transparent and more equal for all.

Please keep on talking to us, both in our Steemit blogs and on our telegram account at https://t.me/SportsPodiumPublic

Hello & Cheers!! I'm a content detection and information bot. You are receiving this reply because a short link or links have been detected in your post/comment. The purpose of this message is to inform your readers and yourself about the use of and dangers of short links.

To the readers of the post: Short links are provided by url shortening services. The short links they provide can be useful in some cases. Generally their use is benign. But as with all useful tools there are dangers. Short links can be used to hide all sorts of things. Quite frequently they are used to hide referral links for instance. While not dangerous this can be deceptive. They can also be used to hide dangerous links such as links to phishing sites, sites loaded with malware, scam sites, etc. You should always be extremely cautious before clicking on one. If you don't know and trust the poster don't click. Even if you do you should still be cautious and wary of any site you are sent to. It's always better to visit the site directly and not through a short link.

To the author of the post: While short links may be useful on some sites they are not needed on steemit. You can use markdown to format your links such as this link to steemit. It's as simple as [steemit](https://steemit.com) Unlike short links this allows the reader to see where they are going by simply hovering over the link before they click on it.

This message was created by a bot. It is part of the ongoing fight against spam and phishing attacks on steemit. If you did not use short links in your post and feel you have received this message in error you can contact @fubar-bdhr on discord or @fubar.bdhr on steemit chat to report the issue.
