Illiteracy in India is the second most biggest or major issue in my country.
As we know the progress of any country can be observed by the literacy rate of that country.
Currently India has the largest illiterate population because of the rapidly growing population.
Literacy is a key for socio-economic progress of any country. The literacy rate in India has grown to 74%(in 2011) from 12% when we got independence in 1947. We can say it's better and its a great improvement but still we are behind the world as the world’s average literacy rate is 84%. *Causes of Illiteracy in India are
1 Poverty
2 corruption
3 Lack of schools in rural areas
4 Low budget of education
5.Regional Disaparity
- Backward Education System
7 Education is for rich people
8 Ratio of general discrimination
9 learning disabilities
SOLUTION TO Illiteracy
- Provision of educational facilities
2.Introduction of enabling policies
3.Free Education
4.Constant training of teachers
All solutions are okay to improve in India. But education became costly day by day. And education became the handy things of rich people. It became out of reach of the common and middle class family. Still labour class unable to educate their children because of many reasons like poverty and so on.
Still our country is so behind of any developed and literate country. So we have to try and promise ourself to educate at least one children.
This step can really decrease the amount of illiteracy rate in India. And our country became more educated and developed like other country.
