Hereditary - Paimon

Hello!

I've always been interested in scary movies (I watched some of the Saw movies with a friend when I was a bit younger, oopsie) but I've always felt nervous watching them alone.

Over the last year or so I've watched so many! All with one of my flatmates who also likes scary movies, I've enjoyed them a lot, and I feel better about watching them alone now too!

One film I watched a few months ago that really stuck out to me was Hereditary (by written and directed by Ari Aster, I've also really enjoyed Midsommar too) I love the imagery and the attention to detail.

The colours and the composition are so mesmerising and beautiful, I won't give any spoilers but there's so many bits in the background or the use of colour that stands out more the second to you watch it!

I decided to draw Paimon, from a screenshot at the end of the film, I guess that is a bit of a spoiler though (I'm very sorry!).

I did this drawing on procreate on the Ipad :) I tried to go for more of a multi tonal watercolour look, not sure about it but I like the final outcome!

This is the first sketch I did on paper with colouring pencils! I just did basic line art with red because I love sketching with blue and red colours (instead of HB pencils).

This is the second sketch I did which I used to photograph and upload to Procreate for more drawing on top of it!

I'm very pleased with how this turned out :)
