The August contest #2 by sduttaskitchen: Every experience has its own worth!

in Incredible India2 hours ago

Experience is among the best elements of life since it impacts the way we think, act, and make decisions. Experience is not like physical things which do not stay with us but teach us lessons that may impact our future. The lessons we learn may help us to grow, gain wisdom, and see life from a different angle.

Do you believe that each experience holds its own intrinsic value? Share your viewpoint!

It is my belief that all experiences hold their own value regardless of whether they seem meaningless at first sight. There are some experiences that bring happiness and success whereas there are some experiences that entail sadness, disappointments, and lessons hard to learn. Failing an exam may be one of those unpleasant experiences but at the same time they teach people better time management, discipline and other things that will help them in their further life.

In my opinion, experiences gain their value by teaching us something and shaping our personality. Thus, a person having gone through poverty will know better how to manage money and will appreciate certain chances that are taken easily by other people. Regular experiences like helping friends and working hard on tasks help to learn patience, empathy and self-confidence.

That is why I do not consider it necessary for an experience to be pleasant or successful to be of value. Some of the experiences that we do not want to experience at all become those experiences that define our further decision making processes.

What do you think most experiences come with, time or circumstances? Explain!

In my opinion, most of the experiences have both aspects of time and circumstances, but circumstances are what determine when the experiences happen. Sometimes life puts us in situations that we were not planning for, and through those situations, our course can be altered. An example is being laid off from work, and the individual may have to acquire another skill or start a small business.

Time, on the other hand, allows us to interpret the experience that we have had. Something that we could be considering as an unfortunate happening when it first happened might help us to become patient or more disciplined after a few months. An example is when a student does not do well in an examination and becomes demotivated at first, but later with time, he or she is motivated to work harder.

From this, therefore, I would say that circumstances generate many experiences, but time helps us interpret their significance. Neither is independent of the other since most of what happens to us is a result of our circumstances, but the interpretation of it happens with time.

Do you consider that the value of experience holds greater significance than other aspects of life? Justify your point!

I think experience is more important than any other factors in our lives since it provides practical knowledge which cannot necessarily be obtained by reading or listening to others. A person knows what success means theoretically, but after having experienced failures, he/she will be able to learn valuable lessons concerning such virtues as patience, discipline and responsibility.

To illustrate, when a person who starts working for the first time in his/her life is well-educated but does not know how to cope with stress and communicate with other people, with time he/she makes mistakes, learns from them and gains confidence and skills necessary for him/her to work properly. It is an important factor in this person's life since it will affect his/her perception of similar situations in the future.

Nevertheless, I do not think that experience is more important than all other factors in one's life. Relationships, health, education and personal values are also very important in a person's life. Experience should be regarded as a factor that brings all these important factors together.
