In your opinion, which one is more challenging: achieving success or retaining it? Share your views.

To my mind the much more difficult thing is to retain the success. The aspiration to come to a breakthrough is usually marked with the hunger of the underdog. You have a clear target, nothing to lose and the ability to make disruptive bold moves when you are starting out. Such concentration gives one a strong push that can take you to the heights.

Nevertheless, when you get there, the game psychology is entirely different. You go on the offensive to the defense. Greatness maintenance takes an uncommon degree of emotional control to prevent the killer of high performance; complacency. You do not chase any longer, you are chased by others as hungry as you used to be. To sustain that summit level, it is necessary to reinvent all the time and be capable of saying no to the distractions of status. It is a sprint to get there and a marathon that has no finish to remain there.

What is more significant, enjoying our passion or chasing success? Describe!

Although our society seems to encourage the hustle to succeed, it is much more important to do what we like. Externality Often success is determined by external indicators such as wealth, titles, or social endorsement which are typically moving goalposts. When you follow these markers out of passion, there is a danger that you will only be the mountain you have climbed, and find yourself on the peak of the wrong mountain.

When passion comes first, then the reward is the process. This gives a cyclic growth process since what you do is by your own motivation. You do not need a trophy to make you feel justified since the job itself gives you a sense of flow and purpose. The workforce that is passionate tends to be successful in an ironical twist; their zeal can keep them going and working long enough, outwitting those who are only driven by a salary or a promotion.

What is the definition of achievement according to your perspective?

The correctness of effort to personal values, in my opinion, is achievement. Neither is it a final place nor an object of silver on a shelf. Rather, the realization of the inner purpose is the growth attained through struggle to acquire a goal that is of personal importance.

When an individual accomplishes an objective by sacrificing his personality or sanity in the process, then it is just a mere consequence and not success. The real success is that you actually realize you are better, stronger, and more professional than the same person you were the day before. It is the gap between what you want to be and what you really are, and this is constructed with perseverance.

Thanks for reading my post I'm inviting @jospeha, @ninapenda and @chant to participate.
