So finally, the movie The Long Walk has arrived in Hindi language, and that too on Prime Video. Besides Hindi, it has also been released in Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and several other languages. I had already watched this movie earlier, and today I've brought its review for you all.

Background and Story

The story of this movie revolves around a post-apocalyptic America. The situation there is no longer the same; America is no longer a superpower, and the way the government is run has also changed.

In this situation, a strange walking competition is organized. This race has some special rules:

• Participants are not allowed to run; they must only walk.
• The walking speed must never drop below 3 miles per hour.
• If someone slows down, they are first given a warning.
• But if someone ignores the warning, stops midway, or tries to escape, they are directly shot and killed.

The movie shows 50 teenagers participating in this life-or-death competition. The question is how many of them will survive till the end.

• Realistic Scenes: The scenes showing physical suffering during walking on the road—numb feet, agony—are extremely realistic and brutal.
• Performances: The acting of every character and the portrayal of their personal life stories or motivations are beautifully brought out.
• Cinematography: The post-apocalyptic American scenes don't show excessive destruction, yet they effectively convey a sense of emptiness and despair, which feels very real.

• Unclear World-Building: Why America was destroyed or what caused the current situation is not clearly explained. This hinders the audience from diving deeper into the story.
• Predictable Format: In many cases, how the race will end or what might happen next can be guessed in advance.
• Unsatisfactory Ending: The movie's ending or final scene doesn't feel as powerful as it should have been.

The Long Walk is a character-driven and thrilling movie. If you enjoy intense and somewhat brutal (brutal) films, then you can give it a watch. It's not a bad one-time watch movie.
