The daily struggle for survival!

Today presented a series of challenges during my travels,
primarily due to the heavy rainfall as I approached the railway station.

Upon my arrival, I learned that one train had been cancelled because of the adverse weather conditions.

I arrived at the platform at 9:13 AM, and I heard the announcement about my train at 9:52 AM.

While I waited on the platform, I took the opportunity to capture several photographs of the rain and the daily endeavours of other commuters.

It is essential to recognise that
regardless of the season or external weather conditions, a certain segment of the population must go to work to earn a living.

If individuals can find enjoyment in their daily survival journeys, the experience may not seem as daunting.

Conversely, if someone struggles to accept their circumstances or the profession they are committed to, the perceived difficulties may overshadow the reality of the situation.

Upon reaching my destination via train,
I hastily sought an autorickshaw, as I had not brought an umbrella. After disembarking from the autorickshaw,
I found myself in search of another vehicle
to reach the showroom. Amid the escalating rain,
I sought shelter under a roof awning
outside a shop.

The previously occupied autorickshaw was filled with passengers, compelling me to wait for the next vehicle
while simultaneously hoping for a respite in the downpour. Fortunately, when the next autorickshaw arrived amidst the heavy rain, I quickly boarded. I opted to wait in the opposite direction of the showroom,
rather than remaining at a distance.

I was fortunate that the rainfall subsided by the time
I arrived at the showroom, allowing me to dash across the road. Upon entering the showroom, a member of our household staff expressed concern for my safety, advising me against running due to the water accumulation on the granite stairs, which could lead to potential accidents.

I appreciated her concern
and responded with a smile. Such expressions of care are often found in the older generations, particularly among those from rural areas.

While I do not intend to criticise urban dwellers, it appears that they may hesitate to offer advice, whereas those from rural settings communicate their thoughts more freely. I admire this mentality.

On my return journey, I observed some vendors selling hair accessories and other items commonly utilised by women in their daily lives.

I again took photographs, as I had mentioned
the talents of vendors in my writing the previous day. This experience allowed me to witness the various ways
in which individuals strive for their livelihoods.

It is common for people to make quick judgments about others and to express dissatisfaction regarding what they lack.

However, after observing the hawkers
and numerous others during my journey, I am reminded that the Almighty has specific plans for each individual, arranging their lives accordingly.
I am genuinely grateful for the gift of health and the skills necessary for self-sufficiency without reliance on others.
