STEEM ACCELERATOR HUB: Update on fundraising, donations and development #1
Hello Steemians. 13 days ago, we saw a need for a decentralized offline community while enjoying the decentralized online community that Steemit has created for us. The Steemit ecosystem, gave lots of Nigerians a platform to create jobs, mine their earnings and better their community.
The benefits of this decentralization has introduced to us an avenue for wealth creation and sustenance, and we are working to make it available to all and sundry.
So it was on that love and dedication for communal growth and advancement that we shared the Steem Accelerator Hub idea with you...
..and so far it has been a very fulfilling ride making these plans and putting them out one step at a time for a better world.
HOW IT STARTED.
When this idea was incubated, I contacted the team and we have been working round the clock since then to make this a reality. It wasn't easy convincing ourselves it was a great idea, but we did and from then, we just started living the dream and organized the first University campaign in Nigeria.
Although we didn't quite know if our community will want this change, but we went on with it anyways and not long, @donkeypong took an interest in this vision and helped us put the ideas out there acting as our technical adviser. He went a step further with us and did a fundraising post to help the STACH vision.
So 13 days after we started the fundraising project for the hub, this is what we have been up to.
ACHIEVEMENT SO FAR.
STACH was well received by the Steemit community and the team went about fundraising. I dedicated 100% of my post rewards and donations to making this a reality and for the last 13 days, we have made sure those earnings were channeled towards this project.
- We paid the rent for the space needed to start the first Steem Accelerator Hub 2 days ago. It is big, a 14ft by 16ft space.
- Painting and minor alterations have been done.
- Commencement of building of shelves and electrical fittings.
Work is just starting and we will keep updating you with the progress of work and how we are doing, so stay tuned because we wouldn't want you to miss a thing!
DONATIONS AND EARNINGS.
The earning received from the various articles I and the team wrote including the fundraising post @donkeypong did, plus donations came to a little over $1300SBD. These funds are being used to create your hub.
LOCATION.
We had various locations we penned out for this hub, but we had to take only one for now. So we settled for the one you will see in the pictures. It is a cool and serene location that will equally provide a restful environment for all.
We are boarded by the University community as well as being in close proximity with a private Secondary School. We apart from targeting the Undergraduates are also targeting the teenagers as well. where we look to reach out to the teenagers.
DURATION FOR COMPLETION.
We have a target to complete the set up of the hub in under a week and we have already commenced work.
APPRECIATION.
This is an historic feat for the Nigerian community, that said, we are aware it is now a reality because YOU believed in us. We want to say a big thank you fro the supports, words of encouragements, upvotes and donations. It has been an amazing 13 days having to work round the clock with everyone involved.

To say that i am happy is an understatement; i am blessed being a part of the team bringing to life this vision. This is just the beginning of greater things to come. #Project20millionnaija is a success. @ejemai, you have done what many will shy away from. not only have you done that, you have set a record for other people to emulate.
The first time you brought me into the team, i must confess that i had my doubt. i felt like the dream was too big to be achieved, but few days into this project and your motivation and drive, it became clear that the vision is just a stepping stone to a greater one.
You have also taught many people that contribution and continuity is not based on the amount of resources you have at the moment but the ability to utilize the little you have for a greater good. you started and never gave up even when a 100% upvote of yours was sometimes less than 1cent.
When i sent you the little amount gotten from the post i dedicated towards this project, your tone of gratitude can never be pen in words. You might not realize but you have taught me a lot and maybe for the other team members, the nigerians and general steemit community that we must be SELFLESS not SELFISH. This is like a Corporate Social Responsibility you have started and the whole world is watching to see as this little hub, becomes a giant Conglomerate.

Very impressive, you really motivate me to initiate a similar project in my Country. It is commendable how you saw an opportunity to use the steemit platform as a mechanism to help some of your less fortunate fellow citizens to actually earn some type of income by simply investing their time in learning how to write quality posts and contribute positively to the entire steemit community and you didn't stop there but you have embarked on making a hub for them to do their work, with the necessary infrastructure and equipment for them to be comfortable and operate efficiently in peace. Keep up the good work brother.

This is a really good project. It depicts how much love you have for human and community development. This vision is going to help a lot of young people out there to invest their spare time effectively and keep their brains active and also improve their writing and creating skills...
