Patience : A virtue or an excuse to delay things.
Patience is a virtue that not many are born with. It has to be developed in ourselves. In general life sense also people always tell others to stay patient and calm down when they are caught in dastardly situations.

But do we know what patience actually is? Many times people always confuse it with total passivity in an important situation or When people do not have any control over the situation then they usually say that they are staying patient.
But none of these even remotely connect with the real meaning of patience is. According to English dictionary, "the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious"It is the ability of a person to wait for something or endure something without getting riled up.
Patience doesn’t mean passivity or resignation, but power. It’s an emotionally freeing practice of waiting, watching, and knowing when to act at the right time. In modern era, Patience has gotten a bad rap for the wrong reasons. To many people, when you say, “Have patience,” it feels unreasonable and inhibiting affair to stall things.
But the reason for this wrong reputation is the inability of the preachers of Patience to get it's true meaning to people. Many a time people use this word to cover up their laziness.
Practicing patience gives us the ability to act at the most opportune time.It is about that one step that we take backward only to come back extra vigor and force. It is about that extra second of thought that you give before your actions and not entirely giving up. Patience is a liberating feeling, it is the breath of fresh air that you always wanted to take. patience as an active state, a choice to hold tight until intuition says, “make your move.” It means waiting your turn, knowing your turn will come.
Practicing patience in your life will help you remove stress and anxiety from your life. It gives you a choice about how you want to respond to disappointment and frustration. When you can stay calm, centered and not act rashly out of frustration, all areas of your life will improve.

He would always give us examples like 'you shouldn't expect for fruits from the seed that you just planted' I always thought of his teaching to be boring. But as I grew up his words are making more sense.
I miss him, but his words will always be there with me. :-)
