I am pretty sure that oligarchs have nominal plans reflecting Chinese activity in Africa. Whether those involve opposing it or not is a good question.

The US has plenty of military presence in Africa. What they're intent on using it to do is opaque to me.

As to the enemedia, I am gratified to see the decline in various Big Social platforms, and huge layoffs in enemedia propaganda outlets like Huffpo, Buzzfeed, and Vice. The more the merrier, particularly as these aren't the result of censorship, but the cessation of funding propaganda by the USG enabled by Obama's amending the Smith-Mundt Act, which forebade the USG from funding propaganda intended for the consumption of Americans.
