Backyard Bumblebees

I really like bees! And bees are very important pollinators too. Without bees a lot of the plants and trees won't reproduce anymore.
And it's not going well with the bees nowadays. By the use of pesticides and non-native enemies like the hornet we've seen the number of bees significantly being reduced in the past few years.
Also a lot of people nowadays have their backyards fully paved.

But not me... I reserved a lot of space for flowering plants and flowers to help my little flying friends. And to pay me back, I can have a photoshoot with them every now and then 😂

I've recently bought a lot of these nice purple Salvia plants. They also come in pink by the way. These flowers were advertised as bee-magnets... and that's very true!

I love how you've created a bee-friendly haven in your backyard, it's amazing that you've seen the impact of the Salvia plants already, did you notice any specific type of bees visiting the purple flowers? 🐝💛
