Can people and robots be friends?
When people interact with anthropomorphic robots or even see their images, they can feel as satisfying some of their social needs. The programming of friendly robotic languages, robotic friends allows robots to look cute and full of personality.
Robots say they want to be our friends.
It's a great engineering tactic, enabling users to rely on corporations to focus on their interests.
The consumer society has been pushed once more,
into consumption even more.
Anyway - can people and robots be friends?
Studies show that people who feel socially excluded can not turn their back on at least a bit. Cutey product technology companies that use our phones and our homes can have unfriendly, dehumanizing effects on how to deter us from contacting social people.

I think it can. But to keep them under controle is another question!
@fsfblender
Or not tune in this question in one point - that,
What do you think?
If robots can learn and program themself, then we lose control. Maybe it’s about how we program them.
@fsfblender
It would be easy if it were...
First of all - the energy source must belong only to humans.
Robot self-programming and energy use are possible only serving humanity (as an ordinary thing, a shovel as an example) and here we can place a point.
But we are most likely perfectly imagines how much opinion movement is,.. left, right, centrists, and millions differently around the world.
Therefore, humanity will never control the authoring of programming. Do not control (maybe the only ill-fated one) the author.
You have got a point. But we have to take care of our energy and not waste so much.
