Why can't I see ghosts?

With so many paranormal movies,TV shows,Books and Video games around us,it seems like Ghosts are currently Trending,even in our Steemit community we see new stories and Competitions almost every day.
But do you believe that the dead roam around us?
A lot of people do,According to a poll conducted in Dec 2012(Source), 64% believe there is life after death and interestingly enough 28% people have either seen or felt a presence of a ghost.
Another survey conducted in Britain (Source) , Gave the result that almost 1/3 people believe in the paranormal.

As far as we can search in history, Almost every Culture and religion have expressed interest in life after death or more precisely what comes after but is there any evidence to support ghost exists?

Well according to science,not even a single ghost or a haunting has been authenticated as real.All the supposedly evidences that try to convince us of ghosts are either photographs,Videos,Legends or First hand accounts which,While look scary are not exactly proof.So there might not be any Scientific evidence that ghost exist,But there are many logical explanations for people to feel paranormal experiences.

One of which is Infrasound

You probably know that Humans can hear sounds up to 20,000 Hertz, but are unable to detect anything lower than 20 Hz. These “silent” noises are called infrasound, and while we can’t hear them, we can feel them in the form of vibrations. These sounds can create either a positive feeling (such as awe) or a negative feeling (such as unease). In the right surroundings like a Haunted house this might create a sense of panic.

A few months back the people in India are panicking over a Hair-cutting 'ghost'.
The victims of this supposedly ghost usually find their braids cut off upon waking up in their beds. One of the women said her braids were chopped off by a "black cat" that took the shape of a man, according to the Hindustan Times. Others reported the attacker to be a "witch doctor"

After a few weeks Police were getting calls from around the country from women about this unknown ghost almost every day, Medical experts named it "mass hysteria." And reported that according to all available evidence, it seems the women are cutting their own hair either consciously or in an altered state of mind, likely to seek attention.

Sometimes a person's state of conscience can make them feel or see a ghostly presence.

Like when you are neither fully sleep nor fully awake you can see a walking dream or more commonly knows as Sleep Paralysis.This phenomenon occurs during REM stage. When we are sleeping, our body is paralyzed through a mechanism that keeps it from moving physically because of the dream.People who sometimes wake during this process feels the inability to move and sense an evil presence in the room,One of my good friend Vineet suffered from sleep paralysis and felt that a person is pushing his Chest.

According to a survey, widows are more likely to see spirits of their deceased spouse since you share a close bond with your life-partner.
Most people believe in ghosts because we don't want this life to just be it.
We want to see our departed loved ones,Almost every religion offers an explanation too for what happens to us after we die, with the assurance that death isn’t the end.
