What is the "third- wave" of the Internet?
The first-wave was the advent of the Graphical User Interface (GUI), email and websites.
But even before the first-wave of the average consumer today, there was the more technical world of command-line driven unix systems and bitnet.
The second-wave was the consumeristic phase of social networks, messaging, and online commerce.
The third-wave is peer-to-peer decentralized encrypted networks and data storage systems, smart contracts, and AI interfaced mechanisms (IoT).
"Online software" falls together with the first and second-wave. Before that, online-software was called "writing a script".
Blockchain as well as blockless will be the battle, but the goal is decentralize autonomous organization and system will be the very next big thing, I think . And many people in this space today knows it.
