Hello Steemit 🤪 An Introduction From A Crypto OG

What's going on in Steemit Land?🙀🙀
I’m an old-school crypto believer who’s been in this space for 13 years, back when Bitcoin forums, faucets, and CPU mining were the norm — long before Ethereum, DeFi, NFTs, or “Web3” were buzzwords
I starting mining BTC with some friends back in the day, I wasn't too techy, but my one friend knew all the tecky stuff. It started off pretty good, we started with one miner, all the money we made went to buying more miners, we ended up with 9 miners, we were mining 9 bitcoins a month, we were using soon much hydro, it would cause a power surge.
So we started using other people's apartments to set up the miners, my friends made some bad decisions there, the one apartment was a crack apartment, the crackheads couldn't stand the sound of the miners and they would unplug the miners
I finally got fed up and left out of our little mining business and they bought me out.
I have watched cycles come and go
coins rise, fall, and disappear
Narratives change every few years
Builders outlast hype.
I’ve been here through Mt. Gox, ICO mania, bear markets that felt endless, and bull runs nobody thought would ever stop. I learned early that patience beats hype, and conviction beats noise.
Outside of crypto, I’m grounded in real life too — married for 6 years, building long-term both on-chain and off-chain. Crypto may be volatile, but commitment, discipline, and consistency are what actually compound
What I'll be posting here:
Crypto lessons learned the hard way
Market cycles explained by someone who’s seen too many
Thoughts on new projects (with an OG skepticism filter)
Life, balance, and surviving volatility — both charts and relationships
Look forward to meeting you, cheers
