Have you ever been to Africa? How much have you traveled the world and how much have you seen? Are you the adventurous type or do you like to play it indoors? The most important question of all - are you food fanatic?

This is my first post here on Steemit and I just thought I share with you a bit of my world of food? LOL! The creatures or interesting bugs you see down there are not just worms. They are food. Yes, they are indeed food to some people. For most of Southern Africa, Mopane worms are considered a great dish and people like to chew on these directly or like to take them down together with something called "pap", or "sadza". It is pretty much corn which is ground into meal and then added to water stirred and beaten until it becomes a thick white paste.

THE GOING DOWN PART

I have eaten these a couple of times. You can just imagine how it must feel like to take down these little crawly creatures. After the first bite they feel a bit munchy and you might want to take it slow, making sure that you chew a lot. Mopane worms have a rough, spiky like texture and tend to scratch your throat as they go down. That is why I suggest chewing them!
