Hello guys,
I am Nekekpemi Prosper Ebimobowei.
I am from bayelsa state, though my mum is from Akwa ibom so I sometimes claim both. I have lived in Lagos state for more than 15 years so sometimes my friends confuse me to be a Yoruba boy. I actually speak Yoruba fluently and I understand ibibio to an extent, but am totally zero in Ijaw language. I have an igbo roommate @photon12 from who am learning little igbo language. I am the first of four children followed by two guys (twins) and a girl who we call our princess. I am currently a 500 level student studying petroleum engineering in University of uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

I heard about steemit from my close friend @nexrules though I call him my bro because we are more than friends. I have actually been looking for an opportunity to share my knowledge about the oil and gas sector and more about science, then I heard about steemit and how I can share ideas and knowledge. I would also love to learn about other industries and new things on this blog.

My hobbies are reading, teaching, listening to music, talking, making new friends, playing games, watching football. I am a die hard Real Madrid fan #Halamadrid. My friends will tell me there is hardly any explanation I will give without referencing Real Madrid. I love to argue with my Barcelona friends about having the best player in my team, though the argument is always fun. I remember how I boasted during Elclasico and we were thrashed 3-0 by Barcelona, I couldn’t sleep that night. I was just receiving calls like it was my birthday. Some friends started consoling me and asked me to even join their club, but I know for every club there is always a bad season too. Real Madrid for life. I really love to read especially about the oil and gas industry and how to move the industry forward.

In Petroleum engineering, there is this software that is called PROSPER (production and system performance), my friends like to make fun of me with this software. I remember during my Industrial training when I was learning how to use the software, I went to meet my mentor that I was having difficulty with a particular problem, he laughed and said “Prosper is having difficulty with PROSPER”. When I perfected the software to an extent and I started using it often my friends normally say “Prosper likes working on PROSPER. Whenever there is any difficulty in PROSPER software in the class am usually called upon to solve for problem since most of them say I am the software myself. It’s really fun knowing a software you work on is named after you.

On this platform, I want to be sharing ideas most especially on science and technology along side my friends @nexrules, @photon12, @uwemedimo. I am quite sure it’s really going to be an amazing experience. I would also love to meet new people and make new friends just as I earlier said making friends is one of my hobbies.
