Hello and welcome to steemit. I work with a group of individuals (@newbieresteemday), that help new users to the platform get a leg up. There are those of us that vote, and comment (me), and some resteem post. If you have questions about how something works we have a few people we can point you to. If you enjoy games and contest @newbiegames is a place to find games that are pretty fun to play. We also have a discord chat group for just chatting, or seeking help on a variety of information. We have a mentor, an editor, and just a bunch of friendly people.

A lot of bots go after the new users, talking about this or about that, but all of them wanting your SBD's, or your vote, or your steem. So careful and watch out. Also any time you click a link, and it ask you to resign in or for a higher level password, look very closely at the URL. (We have recently had some issues on steemit of stolen passwords).
