My introductory to Steemit

                                  

I have never formally introduced myself here on Steemit, although I have been here for a while. I am a pensioner and trying to earn a little money while I enjoy myself thoroughly. My children introduced me to Steemit and I learn something new every day. Let me tell you about myself.  

I am a wife and mother of two of the most wonderful children you could wish for. I have four grandchildren, who are just as wonderful because their parents teach them well. The nice part of this is that I can just enjoy them with no parenting from my side. When I left school, I did my nurses training in Potchefstroom which is a town with a university. When we had our first child, my husband made it easy for me to stop working. I became a housewife to enjoy time with the baby. My husband and I were both only children so we were thrilled to have a baby. We used to watch her sleeping for hours. Later when we had two children I spent hours playing with them during the day.  My husband knew how much I loved sewing, so he sent me to do a diploma in dressmaking and design. I taught at the Technical College for a few years. I met someone who taught classes in pottery, so we decided to teach each other. It was incredible fun. I did pottery and she made clothes.  

I opened up a little shop with some workers and we made dresses and clothing all of our own design. Another incredible experience as my kids could come to me after school and I started meeting so many people who came to buy in our shop. My husband taught at a school in the town, we were living in, but got promoted to Headmaster at another school and different town. This meant we had to sell the shop and move on to another town. 

In the new town, I got a job at an estate agency. I decided this looked like something new I would enjoy. I passed my estate agency board exam and went into real estate.  I absolutely loved this and will soon tell you about all my experiences as an estate agent.     I sold a house to someone who had a factory that did upholstering of furniture. This was so interesting to me, that I took a year of my life learning this trade from them. I have had a fantastic life and hope you will follow me as we are now pensioners and it drives me nuts just to sit and do nothing.  Steemit is the perfect opportunity to explore life differently. I am at home and still able to enjoy my old age and my husband.
