To my new Steemit Friends, Hello and this is my introduction

Hello everyone, or should i say Hello Stemians. Actually before creating this introduction, I had to read a lot of posts that give recommendations for the newbies at Steemit community. They were pretty helpful actually, and in most of them I read that you need to introduce yourself properly to the community and all Steemit Community users are called Stemians, so nice to meet you Stemians and this is my introduction.

My name is Gianni, 28 years old, a Senior Software Engineer with 6 years in Software development and related technologies. I am from Patra, Greece and from what I am hearing these days Steemit is getting a great approach here and i think all the Steemit should be glad to hear.

How I got here?
How I got to open an account here is a strange but a nice story to hear. In the last couple of years, I have taken a great interest in the Blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies. And my favourite cryptocurrency, i say favourite because I have studied it a lot these years, is BAT Token, maybe some of you have heard or have it or use it and some not. But last week I had coffee with one of my closest friends here, who happens to be a great follower of Steemit. I didn’t know, but that day I learned that he has had a great interest on Steem and Steem Dollar cryptocurrencies. In his phone he gets every day notification about Steemit news, articles and stories. Like he is crazy about it. He loves this community but hasn’t opened an account yet. He isn’t a fan of blogging or writing to be honest.

Why Steemit?
My friend says: Gianni look at this, Steem is up, Steem is down, look at this article, steem this, steem that etc.. And I thought, ok my friend, leave me a couple of days and i will have a look at this cryptocurrency. So i left a lot of news and notifications i had about Brave and started my Steemit Journey. Read a lot of articles, blogs, histories and I created an account and now i am here.

Bye BAT and welcome Steem

What is next?
What i am going to do now that I am part of this Great community

  • Have fun
  • Be happy
  • Share some pieces of my experience
  • Upvote and encourage great posts
  • Support everyone when i can
  • Share Steemit everywhere

Thank you my dear friends for reading this introduction, hope you like it and i want from every one of you if you can give me an opinion, is the right choice to come here or is the wrong choice (I have heard that in Steemit there are a lot of bots also but to be honest for me doesn’t make any difference)

I would put in a picture and it would be more attractive

Thank you. Just i was not sure what photo to add, a photo of my self or any other photo. I am new at steemit, and the first thing i read for newcomers was to create an introduce your self post. Appreciate your suggestion, thnx a lot

Great Post! Welcome to Steemit!!
Great to have you here, been here only six months myself and loving it so far.. It can be a little overwhelming T first (or still for me) but it gets easier, and the people here really are worth it... You have no idea..

Also, often people add pictures that arnt theirs, from anywhere online, just make sure you mention the source and clearly state it isn't yours. It's a very big no-no to plagerize, and they're hot on it here.. My first blogs were old posts from WordPress, and I had to validate and prove that it's really my blog. Which is good, I'm happy there is zero tolerance towards plagerism.
Anyway, welcome aboard and have a great time.

Welcome to our community. You just started at the perfect time, I’d say. Best time to keep up is when there’s an uptrend starting d:)

Hurray dear Steemian ! Be welcome !

Welcome gianni to this beautiful #steemit community!

Great intro, I enjoy this platform. I have met some really nice people here. Welcome......

Welcome to the Steem blockchain!

I say Steem blockchain, because Steemit is not the Steem blockchain. You have a Steem blockchain account, not a Steemit account.

There are many other dApps and applications on the Steem blockchain, which you (and everyone else on the Steem blockchain) can use. For example Busy.org, SteemPeak.com, Musing.io (Questions and Answers interface, similar to Quora), eSteem (Downloadable app for PC and mobile devices), DTube (video sharing website, similar to YouTube), DSound (Sound sharing website, similar to soundcloud), dpoll (you can create and vote on polls), TokenBB (Forum on the Steem blockchain), etc.

The Steem blockchain is a huge place. Have fun and good luck exploring it! All the best!

Thank you. Great explanation though and a lot of apps to use. Appreciate it

Welcome to steemit @bravedevelopment.

Welcome the new steemians. Have a great day!

Welcome @bravedevelopment to Steem. I feel you'll enjoy the platform much during your time here. I have been active on the platform for a little over a month now, and there are some great people here.

The platform could be more user-friendly towards beginners, but I've learned that sometimes you need to seek information before it gets handed to you.

Anyway, best of luck here, and I look forward to your articles in the future.
