Greetings Steemit, I am here to present my very first post

Hello Steemit family

I’m really glad to write this, my first post here. However, it really does feel like I’m properly starting something which is worthwhile, and I’m so glad I’m doing it.

I’m Christopher and I’m delighted to be joining this fantastic group of people, who are being creative, thinking, and just sharing what’s happening in their lives. I’ve looked at sites like this for some time, and have at last decided to jump in.

I’m 50, and my life has been on a lot of different routes. I’ve had good times and very difficult ones, particularly with money and being secure. As with many, plans haven’t always worked out for me, but over the years I’ve discovered you’re never too old to start over.

And that’s a big part of why I’m here.

I’m not on Steemit simply to add to the amount of content already available, I have a reason for being here. I’m hoping to develop, to find out new things, to make connections with other people and, naturally, to make money by being regular and offering something of worth. I realise that I am not going to achieve anything worthwhile instantly and am prepared to do the work that is needed to create something that lasts.

Starting with nothing is a little strange feeling, but I consider it a chance. I can write down everything from the very beginning, including successes and errors, what I understood and how I plan to proceed. The important thing is telling the story of how you got somewhere and not just the story of when you do.

I’ll be posting a few things on here that are about my real life and what I’ve gone through. I want to be open, for people to identify with my posts and for them to be helpful. You can anticipate from me posts about things like…

I know a lot of people who don’t know what to do or even where to start. To me, that’s a victory.

Honesty is one thing I hold dearly. “I am not here to pretend or to make an image”. I am not here to pretend; to create an image that best suits me. Some LTCB finds that people connect more to truth than lies and the same will be reflected in the content created.

Consistency is another work ethic that I strive to be committed to. I may not have any idea of everything I want yet but I am willing to show up, learn, and better myself everyday. Consistency is the last work ethic that I do aim to uphold.

As a new member here, I still have to learn much about the inner works of things. Therefore, I am open to any form of guidance, advice or correction that the elder or experienced members in the society can offer to me. I will welcome any tips and suggestions that will help me grow.
And, making connections is of a great importance to me. I’m not just here to post and leave – I want to interact with others, support others and be part of this community in a meaningful way. If one wins, we all win.

This journey is of great importance to me. It’s not just about rebuilding, developing new skills and providing new opportunities where there was none.

So today is the first day.

No pressure, no perfection – just a fresh start and a right mindset.
