Coming across this statement was a great motivation to join steem asap

Steemit was releases on July 14 of 2016 . Took us a long 2 years to hear about this platform. maybe it was heard and forgotten, but now its time to definitely try out steem and uncover the truth behind all the hype

So what do we know about steem so far?

Steemit is a social media platform which works using the principle of blockchain. The cryptocurrency known as steem is used to reward the users

Well to the people who spent their major fraction of life on social media browsing and exploring stuff, this is their opportunity to earn while simply doing their thing. Compared to other social media websites this is a great incentive to be active on a social media.

Under each steemit post we can see the total amount generated from the post of whicha major part goes to the author and rest to the commentators and upvoters

While you explore a bit of steemit, you can see there are STEEM, STEEMPOWER and STEEM DOLLARS

Steem is the basic currency in the platform, which can be powered to Steem power, Steem power can be converted into Steem dollars which can be traded with other cryptocurrencies

Steem power measures the influence of the user on the steemit community, which justifies why the user with more steem power earns more on their activity

For converting Steem Dollars to Steem, it takes three and half days. For conversion of steem power to steem, the conversion process takes weeks over which the steem is equally distributed on a weekly basis

With this much knowledge, you go into steem expecting a fortune. Now you put up a couple of post and you see nothing great happened maybe you got a few followers and a very negligible or no reward at all from the post. Why dint we get the promised rewards from our post?

The Steem Power - That's the answer. When you have more steem power, you will get more rewards when you write and edit posts on steemit. You will be given more value to your comments and upvotes when you have a good amount of steem power.

To get rewards in the start, we can try to increase the follower base hoping to find followers with good deal of steem power so that their interactions will benefit us.

From a bit of research and observation, we can see that most of the bloggers with more than $100 at present, started of very small. They gained negligible or no rewards in the start. Thus the solution is to be consistent and be persistent in being active in the community.
