You have such a good attitude towards dealing with grief. I just lost my Cat that i had for 17 years and i'm still a bit raw from it. By the way, the Bot pinged you, but did not take anything off your reputation score. It penalised a guy a few minutes ago and he now has a reputation score of 3...ouch.
