Curt Ross
Hello everyone on Steem, I have been around for a couple months, although only actively posting and chatting the last week or so. I missed doing an introductory post until I saw I needed one to join the SPL. I also need to grow my reputation to 35 (1 more, upvote me if you can so I can cross that mighty threshold) to join the league. Sidebar: If you want to join the SPL (Steem Poker League) here is the link: https://www.lucksacks.com/League-Registration
Anyways, I am a disc golf enthusiast, learner, educator, and acro yogi. I work at a year round camp and oversee outdoor education. I love any outdoors stuff and really enjoy the discussion on Steem. I have noticed that people grind hard here and hope to enjoy the challenge of building an account up from the ground without fiscal investment or purchasing bot up-votes. Say hello and if I seem like someone with some similar interests go ahead and give me an add as I will be working mostly on content at some point in my Steem career. If I get any sort of power of curation I will be doing a lot of that because I love reading, reviewing, and comparing others beliefs to my own.
Here i am, a real winner!

Since you seem to be a real person and I think you should be able play at the SPL - take this upvote for Rep 35 :P Good luck at the tables man!
Greets, @theaustrianguy
That was enough to put me over the edge! Thanks a bunch @welcoming or is it @theaustrianguy ...sometimes ya just need to ask it would seem.
Welcome! How did you get into Poker?
@torrey.blog Yo, I got in when it first came on to TV and was all the rage. I was in HS so we thought we were real cool. Haven't played much recently as I prefer live action and don't have a fun game close to me that I know of yet.

Hello and welcome to Steemit. I'm still a beginner, I follow you and I hope you too will follow me, I'm glad to new acquaintances. I wish good luck in the development of your blog! Upvoted your post! ;)
@veseloff It doesn't show that you upvoted it, unless you voted under a different name. Either way, thanks for the follow
@veseloff it also doesnt show that you are following either. I may be missing something here.
I am going to guess this is some sort of way to try to get extra followers without actually doing anything. I am thoroughly confused as to why a rep 57 needs that type of action though. @intothewild or @thevillan is this a normally occurring thing? I would think this would normally get a person a lower rating, or am I missing something.
Yeah, this happens. If the vote total is low, you can just look at the vote counter to see if they voted, otherwise use steemdb.com
Anytime someone says I followed you and I hope you'll follow me, you can bet they are shady. Just click on their profile and see what's up. He has 200 some people he's following and 1600 some followers, clearly he's getting more people following him back than he is actually following.
His comments are another red flag, although he's more clever than most by changing up his comments, in regards to how he phrases it.
Lastly, his wallet with a high SBD amount compared to SP and liquid tells me he buys a lot of votes. Which is you look at his high payout posts, are all bid bot voters. That's the biggest downside (among many others) imo, to bid bots, is that you can essentially buy your reputation now.
I would simply disregard him.
Thanks for the help as always. Need to learn the investigation skills. It definitely makes sense now.
