I wouldn't say so actually. Korea and Japan is expensive and I do not recommend that if you're on a budget. Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia are cheap countries, all with amazing nature!
Alternatively you can do volunteer work, that's what I will be doing in 3 weeks. I found the host on workaway.info, costs 30 USD a year to be a member, but after that you can contact unlimited hosts.
